So, I made the switch 
. Victim of marketing? Perhaps. But the more I use this machine, the more I’m convinced that Mac OS X is the way to go. It could use some more optimization, but I’m sure that’ll come with time. Software is an iterative process. With a few notable exceptions, it gets better and better with age as more bugs are found and the feature set solidifies.
What’s really great about this machine is that it Just Works. I plugged in an Airport card, and BAM! It found my 802.11b network, discovered the SSID, and got on no problem. Granted, my AP is wide open, but still. After trying to talk my Mother-In-Law through a crashed AOL session on her Windows machine last night, I realize that THIS is what the computing experience should be.
In other news, I’m so sore from football yesterday that it hurts to type. Yes, I AM too old for this stuff.
